The mess!

What a Beautiful Mess I'm in!!

This is one small portion of my studio.....the rest is equally cluttered!

I just glanced up from my sewing and realized that I even LOVE the way the mess looks! I love all of the fun colors, and fabrics that I am so luck to work with.

...and speaking of BEAUTIFUL....

"Hello, Lover!"

My new shoes are FABULOUS!
I have, unfortunately, developed a slight shoe obsession...
much to LEGO Hair Man's dismay.
......................
Last week we celebrated my Grandparents 100th birthdays.
They aren't around anymore.
To celebrate, we had a big dinner with all of the things Grandma used to cook.
Of course, none of it was as good as hers.
I was assigned to make THIS......
Grandma loved it! I think that I am one of the only ones at the party to eat my serving though.
It is Lime Jello,
with Cottage Cheese,
Crushed Pineapple,
Celery (really!),
and Walnuts.

It has an interesting flavour, but it really did remind me of Grandma.

......................
I was asked to make the banner for our Church's girls camp.
The theme was Mark 5: 36.

I love working with fabric in different ways.
.......
....lastly, a blurry self portrait with my Macy bug.
Her eyes amaze me!

What The...huh??

My friends,
most of you know that I am NOT
The Queen of Fashion.
(Maybe the Queen of Non-Fashion)
Today, however, I realized that there is someone with
MUCH WORSE fashion than me....
The Designer Thom Browne.
......
Here are a few samples of his work.
"Man-Skirt"
What the???
"Suit-tu-tu's"
These guys look thrilled to wear it too!

"Santa's Little Hell-per"

and the ever popular,
"Help! My 6 year old brothers suit doesn't fit me!"

These are actual designs of his.....this is not a joke!
I saw his things on Gilt today.
I go there daily to find good deals on Great Shoes.
(If you want an invite to shop there, send me your email)

If you are in the mood for more laughs, google Thom Browne!
and then, maybe chuckle at the men who actually spend thousands on these beauts!

Baby Pictures!!!

My Nephew and his wife had their first baby July 5th.
I'm a Grand-Aunt again!!! Whew-hew!
But, even better, it makes my sister a Grandma!

I don't have any pics of that cute boy yet,
so you'll have to see more pics of my upcoming pattern babies!!
............................

This is
The Lola Goes Shopping purse.
I LOVE this bag so much.
That is why I gave it my "name".
...............................
Penelope Ruffles
is the name of this next bag.
I took her prototype, made in lovely pink, to quilt market.
I can't tell you how many people stopped me to ask about her.
She is a fancy girl!

....and, Ohhhh soooo sweet in Amy Butler!
...........
And here is my little "Ava" dress......again.
I just can't get over how darling she looks on that little model!

We have another BIG photo shoot coming up in the next
couple of weeks.
The clothes in that bunch are SO cute that they make me giggle........
tear up......and wet my pants a little.

The Laundry Dream

Hellooooooooo!!
We're finally home from our "relaxing" week long "vacation".
The only thing that made it vacationy was that my Lego Hair man was there to suffer through it with me.
...
But, now we're home
and now comes the MOST HATED part of every vacation..
LAUNDRY H#%*!!
...
On a normal day we usually wash 3-4 loads of uber- stanky clothes.
Today, I have hardly peaked my head out of our laundry "room".
...
I can't really call what we have a room. It is more of a laundry-hallway-leading-to-the-garage.
Because I spend so many hours there, I have come up with a design to make it a more pleasant place to be. One might even call it heaven.
...
Welcome to the
"I'm Dreaming"
Makeover
...
The first thing that our room needs is a fantastically relaxing paint color.
I've already got that one covered!
I painted the room.....
I don't have to worry about Aromatherapy because i find the scent of
Downy
intoxicating!
.........
I think the laundry room would benefit by having a nice, comfy chair.
Imagine reclining while you fold, or iron your clothes.
I also think it would be a super place to rest while waiting for the next load to come out of the dryer.
I could plug in the laptop, and comfortably surf the net, or even ponder life's greatest mysteries in the comfort of my Dream Laundry Room.
........................
Now! The ultimate of ultimates....
a beautiful new set of laundry appliances!!!!
Of course, they would have to be pimped up a bit....

This is Laundry room perfection!

Imagine with me...

Warm Cookies, Cold Diet Coke, Reclining, Downy, and the sweet sounds of clothes being cleaned.

Dreamy!
