No..not because it was my wedding anniversary..
Not because I got to buy new furniture....(New couch and loveseat!!)
and not because the scout Blue and Gold Banquet is finally over *phew*
I got the best mail! Dare I call it Heavenly? (I think I did hear angels singing when I opened the package!)
My NEW Bff, Mary Ann, not only sent me a Valentine Card but she sent a package too!
*****insert angelic singing here****
1979 copy of The New Joys of Jell-o!!!
It is chock full of great Jell-o-licious recipes like; Snappy Fruit Mold,
Jellied Avacado Ring, and Salmon Dill Mousse!!
Mouth watering yet???
If you were as lucky as I, you could learn how to be invited to every party..because you bring the best Jell-o deserts!
(I wish I had that outfit!)
There was NO Jell-o at my Reception!
(I think there might have been Jell-o at the Wedding luncheon.)
If I could only go back and do it again.......
instead of a cake there would be a rainbow Jell-o Mold!

Oh Auntie Lola, you make Jello seem, like, so groovy. I'm still on the lookout (as in digging through my drawers) for the Jello recipes. I'm not sure it's very classy, but hey, that's life.
Jello really hasn't come that far eh?
Could you tell the angels to hold it down? I'm trying to sleep next door!! I would take a beautiful Jello ring as a peace offering though! hee hee!
mmmmm...I can just taste Grandma's green jello with cottage cheese, celery, nuts and pineapple. Jello memories..vickla

Love the book. Those 70s books are a scream. (Sad to say thats my era, I married in 1979!)
That book looks so fun! I wouldn't be able to flip through it without laughing to the point of tears. I love those pics.
