Hi!
Wha-cha doin'?
ya..........
me too.
So,
I've been messing with this pile of really great fabrics.
Don't you love the colors?
me too.
Well,
I've been trying to make 2
HUGE flowers for Izzy & Ivy's booth for Quilt Market...
in October......
This is what one of them looks like so far.
(I put the thread cone in the middle so you could see how big it is.)
I know.....I't had better get a lot better before I put it in the booth....
Hey! Anyone know how to make a GIANT flower???
please???

Don't know how to help you but I think this would be way cool as a rug in a little girl's nursery! :) Cute.
Sew cute, and no, I will be no help, I have no idea how you do that.
You're on your own here! Never tried doing that before but willing to learn from you! Looks beautiful so far. I am sure you will make a stunning flower. Love the pinks!
I LOVE IT! :) What are you going to do in the middle for the center of the flower? Can't wait to see the finished product :)
Oooh that fabric is gorgeous
I love is so far. I hope you are keeping up with what you are doing b/c I smell a tutorial coming on! :)
Looks cute! But when you asked about giant flowers, my first thought was:

Maybe it'll give you an idea on how to finish yours! Can't wait to see it finished. :-)
I like it! And I am absolutely no help when it comes to sewing...unless you lost a straight pin on the carpet. My bare feet are expert at finding those.
If you want to abandon fabric... use the giant flower idea here

Maybe it would work with fabric? Worth a try!!!
Are you using TimTex to stabilize it? That would keep it "erect," so to speak.
I so WISH I was going to Quilt Market to see your booth in person! You are going to be the STAR of Quilt Market!
Looks cute!! What if you sew floral wire to the outside edges of each petal, either inside the seam allowance or with a bias ribbon to the back of each petal? And extend the wire so that you could use it to connect the petals together and then cover that with fabric to make a stem.
I love it already. . .you probably already have it all figured out. Now - just send it to me for approval! Tee hee. .gotta keep trying:)
