Tree fall

Had a little storm last night.
I couldn't sleep because of all of the thunder and crashing noises. It really didn't seem to bother any of the rest of the family though, they all slept right through it!

We lost one of our big-er Quakies.  Breaks my heart because it takes so long for trees to grow.
The storm was strong enough to blow down trees,
but not strong enough to blow any of the kids toys out of the yard.

SO sad Lola! My heart aches as yours does to see the tree damage. We have no tree's here, and I am super jealous you have trees! Make a beautiful bench or something, and keep that beauty! Hugs, -Cori

You crack me up!

We lost a huge water oak during a hurricane several years ago. It split in two: half fell on the corner of the house in the morning, and the other half fell across our yard and into the road in the evening.

I still miss the big lug!

i'm sorry for the tree. living where nothing grows without serious nurturing makes trees a precious commodity here.

couldn't sleep either :( I thought some of our roof shingles would start blowing off. Wait...maybe they did, I'd better check!
